What is "Bemani"?

Bemani is a line of music video games developed by Konami. Originally called the Games and Music division, or G.M.D. It is named after Konami's most successful and first music game called "Beatmania". Beatmania is a DJ game, where the player creates music by pressing keys and using the "scratch", since it's release, it has branched off into several different types of music games such as the popular dancing game called "Dance Dance Revolution" or just simply DDR. It has also branched off into more realistic music making games such as Drum Mania and Guitar Freaks. Needless to say, these games involve a player playing a drum set and guitar.

Since Beatmania's release in 1997 and subsequent release of new, different games, the popularity of this genre of video games expanded very rapidly. Upon rapid expansion, several communities were born, including DDRFreak, ITGFreak, PumpHaven, Bemanistyle, and many more. Since the community is so vast, it became evident that founding a club would be a good idea. Hence, the Bemani club at North Canyon was born.

Founders of the Bemani club have been apart of the large Bemani community for about two years. With just as much experience, they greatly enjoy sharing these very exciting and entertaining games with friends. Hopefully, the Bemani Music club will vastly augment the already existing community, and bring enjoyment to all members.
